So, what’s the best thing to do on Valentine’s Day? For those in relationships, you would say spend time with your significant other, obviously.  For the single humans beings of the world, you would say go out and party with your friends to forget about your lack of significant otherness. And for those that just don’t care, you would say treat it like the other 365 days of the year because you know what, it really is just another day. So, this being my first valentine’s day in probably  5 years with not even remotely a sort-of valentine, I chose the third choice.  But for those that chose option 1 or 2, good for you.  Because the ones who do have lovers to celebrate, valentine’s is always a fun and joyous way to celebrate each other.  IMG_7260[1]

It is, however, still okay to observe the day even if you are emotionally unattached. And if you are without a valentine and under the age of 30, you should really count your blessings.  Because at our age, these are the best years to NOT be tied down.  And those bombs shoes, by the way, are billabong womens. So, the day of hearts and love.  How did you spend it?

So, have we all heard Beyoncé’s new song? Please say yes.  All this controversy over Queen Bey.  She really knows how to spark a flame. So, my personal opinion on all this controversy? ..IS WHO CARES.  Beyoncé’s artistic ability and indescribable talent
yet again completely dominates all other artists.  Her lyrics might be taken to heart by some, but you really can’t take her dance moves offensive.  She kills it. So, ironically, the day her new music video dropped, I landed on a flight from LAX into New Orleans.  And yep, you guessed it, I was heading in for Mardi Gras. My Mardi Gras adventures began with Moms Ball. IMG_6841[1].JPG

One of the many amazing things about living in California is all of the beautiful beaches up and down the coast.  One of my favorite things to do on my days off from work is explore all of the beaches I have not seen yet. Today, my roommate and I chose to check out Manhattan Beach. And boy, were we impressed! It is one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen on the west coast with exquisite houses lining the edge of the beach.

For those from the east coast, you should know that the beaches on the west are nothing like the beaches on the east.  I hate to sound harsh, but the west coast beaches are 1000 times better.  The sand goes for miles and the beaches are huge! The homes out here are built with some of the most beautiful architecture I have ever seen.
