Take me to Greece
Who has a place they've always wanted to visit? We all have one. When I was a kid, I would have said Disney land. When I was a teen, I would have said the Bahamas. And now I would tell you Greece. So, guess where

So, what’s the best thing to do on Valentine’s Day? For those in relationships, you would say spend time with your significant other, obviously. For the single humans beings of the world, you would say go out and party with your friends to forget about your lack of significant otherness. And for those that just don’t care, you would say treat it like the other 365 days of the year because you know what, it really is just another day. So, this being my first valentine’s day in probably 5 years with not even remotely a sort-of valentine, I chose the third choice. But for those that chose option 1 or 2, good for you. Because the ones who do have lovers to celebrate, valentine’s is always a fun and joyous way to celebrate each other.
It is, however, still okay to observe the day even if you are emotionally unattached. And if you are without a valentine and under the age of 30, you should really count your blessings. Because at our age, these are the best years to NOT be tied down. And those bombs shoes, by the way, are billabong womens. So, the day of hearts and love. How did you spend it?
So, have we all heard Beyoncé’s new song? Please say yes. All this controversy over Queen Bey. She really knows how to spark a flame. So, my personal opinion on all this controversy? ..IS WHO CARES. Beyoncé’s artistic ability and indescribable talent
yet again completely dominates all other artists. Her lyrics might be taken to heart by some, but you really can’t take her dance moves offensive. She kills it. So, ironically, the day her new music video dropped, I landed on a flight from LAX into New Orleans. And yep, you guessed it, I was heading in for Mardi Gras. My Mardi Gras adventures began with Moms Ball.
One of the many amazing things about living in California is all of the beautiful beaches up and down the coast. One of my favorite things to do on my days off from work is explore all of the beaches I have not seen yet. Today, my roommate and I chose to check out Manhattan Beach. And boy, were we impressed! It is one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen on the west coast with exquisite houses lining the edge of the beach.
For those from the east coast, you should know that the beaches on the west are nothing like the beaches on the east. I hate to sound harsh, but the west coast beaches are 1000 times better. The sand goes for miles and the beaches are huge! The homes out here are built with some of the most beautiful architecture I have ever seen.
When I was younger, my mom used to dress me in everything animal print. And when I say everything,
I mean everything. She would dress me in cow print (yes, I’m serious), leopard print, cheetah print,
snakeskin, you name it. So, as I got older, I began to hate animal print anything. For years, I refused
to wear it and saw animal print as tacky and not in style. But, just like everything else in life, eventually
that changed. And animal print is back in my wardrobe.
If you are from the south, then you are fully aware of the excitement of a “snow day”.
I mean, what is cooler than waking up in grade school and finding out school is cancelled? Close to nothing.
The southern states are not prepared for the heaps of snow and ice that stick to our roads and therefore, the south
is graced once or twice a year (sometimes more) with “snow days.” Snow days are kind of like “rain days” for
my fellow California desert inhabitants. The world just kind of shuts down.
Waking up to a New Carolina snow day brings me back to my childhood.
Except now, instead of snow ice cream, we make mimosas during snow days. Plaid and uggs,
all the way. The most comfortable way to stay warm. For those that have out-casted uggs,
you really should check out their newer lines. They have come out with so many cool
shoes besides just the classic boot and the classic boot now comes in so many more new
colors and patterns. Worth checking out, I promise!
Have you ever just had the urge to get away? We’ve all been there. I was lying in my room this morning staring at the ceiling and thought to myself, I need a break. Life can be very overwhelming and sometimes people just need to take a break from this bizarre concept we call reality.
Where is the best place to escape from your sullen reality? Home. So, as many know, I am spontaneous. Especially with booking flights. After conversing with my roommate about how crazy it would be to book a flight home, I decided to hit submit.
What do you do on a rainy day? Let’s be honest. Most of us want to curl in bed and stay there. No one wants to get up and be
productive. I happened to move to California during an El Nino year. Ha. What are the chances of that? Talk about bad luck. On my most recent rainy day, I was lucky enough to not have to work. So, what did I do instead?
What do you want to be when you grow up? Here is a question that crosses every person’s mind at some point in their life. Some people decide when they are young, others decide when they are in college, and some people decide later on in life. The truth is, we don’t really have to know just yet.
The cool thing about starting a blog is I get to share with all of you how I’m spending my life and my time post college while I plan
who I am and who I want to be.
